Meet Gini – she’s a single mom, except her baby is a chimpanzee. Gini has been a licensed professional primate caregiver for over 40 years.

“My life is bananas! It’s a lot of hard work. It’s twenty-four seven.”

Gini gets hired by chimp owners to baby-raise infant chimps whose birth mothers reject them at birth. Helping to socialize them and get them used to all kinds of new experiences is a big part of her role.
