Jewel and her husband, rodeo champion Ty Murray, welcomed a baby boy on Monday night (July 11) in Texas. People reports that the baby's name is Kase Townes Murray. He weighed seven pounds, six ounces. "Ty and I are so pleased to welcome our new baby boy into the world," she told the magazine. "We are overcome with happiness -- it really is as great as everyone told us it would be -- better even!" This is the couple's first child. Jewel will release a children's album, The Merry Goes 'Round, this fall.
