In a recent initiative sponsored by Staples, former American Idol contestant, Kellie Picker is jumping on board to get school supplies for under privileged kids.

Other celebrities joining Pickler in the Staples cause are actor/musician Drake Bell and pop singer Jason Derulo.

The idea behind the project is to have participants go to the Staples 'Give-Back Pack' homepage and select the celebrity that they want, and upon selecting one of three stars, one dollar will go towards the effort in the celebrities name.

"My Pickler Pack is the pack to pick," said Picker on her page.

Currently Drake Bell is in the lead, with Pickler rounding a close second.

In addition to the online promotion, Staples is also collecting supplies in store from now until September 18.
