Keith inspires web comedy series
Posted by: cmt_dude
Keith Urban's former manager from Australia, Greg Shaw, is getting ready to launch a series of comedy webisodes based on experiences that he and Keith had while working together for most of the years between 1986 and 2000.
The brainchild of Shaw and Brisbane, Australia animator/web designer Martin Hill, the live action series is called "RockDogs" and it actually started out as animation. "It was originally claymation, but it was too expensive to fund so we changed to having comedians playing the RockDogs," Shaw tells Australia's ABC News. "I was working on this while I was with Keith."
"It will be riddled with most of my experiences with Keith Urban and the other bands and people I met who gave me scenarios of situations," adds Shaw. A post on the official Facebook page for RockDogs provides the synopsis, "Four Aussie rockers, a tumbledown house full of drums'n'guitars, a clingy girlfriend, a scheming manager and a big dream of rock'n'roll stardom... this is the world of the RockDogs." The first of five weekly webisodes launches this Friday, Oct. 2 at http://www.rockdogs.com.au.
The Canadian leg of Keith Urban's Escape Together World Tour continues this week in London, Ontario on Oct. 1 and Toronto on Oct. 3.
