Though her engagement came as a surprise to many of her fans, Kellie Pickler is a woman in love, who has a secret, the secret to a successful relationship.

Pickler, a woman of strong faith, believes that the foundation to her relationship with fiancé Kyle Jacobs is God.

"As long as God remains the foundation and the rock of our relationship, then there's nothing that we can't make it through," said Pickler in a recent interview with Raleigh, North Carolina's 94.7 QDR.

The former American Idol contestant, who is ecstatic to marry Jacobs, knew there was something different about him and she was determined to find out:

"Before I even knew who he was or what he did we made eye contact and I knew right off the bat that I wanted to know everything about this person," said Pickler.

A wedding date has yet to be released.
