About the site
What can I do on the site?
On the CMT Community website members create personal profiles, photo galleries, video galleries, groups and more in order to connect with other country music fans and learn about CMT programs and artists.
Who can join this Community?
Any CMT fan can join the community who is 19 years or older.
Is there a fee to use this website?
There are no fees involved with the CMT Community. It is simply a place for country music fans to get together and enjoy CMT programming and music.

Help! Where do I find my Facebook photo album link?
To create a link directly to one of your Facebook albums login into your Facebook account; go to the album you wish to link to and scroll to the bottom of the page. You will find a prompt box similar to the one below.

Help! Where do I find my Flickr album link?
To create a link directly to one of your Flickr albums login into your Flickr account; go to the album you wish to link to and select "Share this set" from the top navigation. Choose "Send the link yourself" and click on the button "Get the link". This will generate a link that looks similar to the one below.

Help! Where do I find my YouTube link?
To create a link directly to a YouTube video, go to the video you wish to link to and select "Share Video" from the navigation below the video. A pop-up will appear with the URL link to share. It will look similar to the image below:

What are posts?
You can post comments anywhere on the CMT community including program pages, artists pages and your member profile. You can delete comments on your profile and any comments that you make. Only artists are able to delete comments from other members that exist on their own page.
What is My Profile page?
Your profile page is where CMT Community members get to know you. It's where you share your biography, photos, videos and groups.
How do I add/delete friends?
You can manage your friend list from the Friends tab in the main navigation.
How do I create/delete a Group?
You can manage the groups you started and the groups you are part of through the Groups tab in the main navigation.
What are my favourites?
Your favourites represent a list of programs and artists that you have marked as favourites. To manage your favourites, select the My Favourites tab in the main navigation.
What's an applaud?
You can let other members know that you like their photos, videos or posts by applauding them.
Registration
How do I join/register?
It's easy and free to join. Simply select JOIN NOW on the homepage and enter your contact information. You will be sent an email with a confirmation code that you need to enter to activate your account. Once you have activated your account, you are ready to start engaging the community.
What if I forget my user name or password?
If you need a reminder of your user name and password, please contact our website administrator at admin@cmt.ca
How do I inactivate my Account?
You can choose to leave the CMT community from your profile page.
How do I change/update my profile?
You can change your profile information at anytime by selecting the Edit box next to the area you want to edit on your profile page.
How do I change my profile picture?
You can easily change your profile picture by selecting the Change my profile picture box underneath your existing profile photo and upload a new one from your computer. You can also select a different picture already in your photo gallery to use as your profile picture by selecting "Make my profile picture" next to the photo.
Website information
Help, I can't read the security code
By having members enter the code displayed, automated registrations are prevented. This reduces system loads and ensures better service performance for the user. If you do not see an image please make sure your browser is set to display all images and refresh the current page.

How do I subscribe to the CMT.ca Newsletter?
You can subscribe to the CMT.ca Newsletter by checking the box I'd like to receive the CMT Newsletter on your profile page.
How do I unsubscribe from the CMT.ca Newsletter?
You can unsubscribe by entering your email address in the Unsubscribe field at the bottom of the Newsletter page.
What does CMT stand for?
CMT stands for Country Music Television.
How do I request a video on CMT?
You can request a video by emailing CMT Central. CMT also has many request weekends throughout the year like: Christmas by Request, Love by Request, Summer by Request and more!

Can I come see a taping of Central
At this time, we don't let people see tapings of our shows.
How do I send a text message to CMT?

Can I buy a copy of my favourite program?
We are generally only licensed to broadcast programs (show them on the air) and not to distribute or sell them. Sorry!
How can I be a host or get a job at CMT?
Anyone interested in getting a job at CMT Canada should visit the Corus Entertainment website: www.corusent.com
I live in Canada, but I don't get CMT. Why?
We are on cable and Canadian satellite systems. For information on getting CMT on your home satellite, please call Star Choice at: 1-888-554-7827 and ExpressVu at: 416-383-6600.
Do you offer tours of CMT?
Sorry, but we are unable to offer tours at this time.

Privacy and security
My personal information has changed, where do I update it?
Upon registration, you will be emailed a username and password. Save this information. When you are logged in you can update your profile information from your profile page.

How do I text message in to join the service?
1: Compose a new text messaging (SMS) from your mobile phone or BlackBerry/PDA type device.
2: Type the word CMT CLUB as a text message.
3: Send your text message to the text number 66247
4: We will text you back within a few seconds with a confirmation message.
Tip: Store the CMT Mobile text number - 66247 - on your cell phone to text us faster!
How do opt out of text message services?
Should you wish to opt out any text message services simply type the word STOP to 66247.

How much does it cost use CMT Mobile text services?
Each text you send will cost 50 cents per text message. You are not charged a premium for receiving text messages from CMT Mobile. Any download charges are subject to your carriers' data plan.
