About Me
I was raised in a small town a few miles from Kitchener Ontario. Small town living is the absolute best place to raise children and so, when I married and became a parent, I too raised my child in a small town. I became a single parent when my daugher was 8, but that never changed. Country music was not something that I paid much attention to until a gift from a friend of two tickets to see Garth Brooks changed my music preferences and I think my life. Since then I have become a 'country music junkie' to say the least. My friends and I attend as many concerts as we can. I now have a very difficult time deciding who my favorite artist is, although I will always have a soft spot in my heart just for Garth. The songs today are amazing and all have such heart and soul to them. My grandsons who are 6 and 2 absolutely love Hannah Montana, much to my son-in-laws dismay - he is not a country fan but I'm workin' on that, the 2 year old will refer to Billy Ray as "Miley's dad" when he hears his voice in a song...he knows the words to The Climb and will sing along if you just hum the tune. I think that country musicians have the most amazing morals and values, and of all venues of music truly love their fans and show them every chance that they get. They are humble and gracious and it makes me proud to be a fan. Country music has gotten me and some of my friends, through some pretty tough times. I am now remarried and live in the city, but my heart still belongs to that small town and country music.

FYI

You might notice that my 'name' has changed ... just a little FYI on that...it stands for sweetpea in Creole. That was my nick name in high-school...just a few years ago...LOL.
