About Me
Melissa Parrott, born December 6, 1986, was raised in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and moved to Toronto in July 2009. This move from her little community to the big city of Toronto occurred when she won CMT’s Casting Call contest to become the next “Superfan turned host”. As a child up until her late teens, she participated in numerous sports including figure skating, gymnastics, soccer, softball, and hockey. She also performed in ballet and jazz recitals, as well as some musical theatre in junior high and high school. Melissa has always dreamed of being in front of a camera and entertaining people, but decided that it would be more realistic to attend university and pursue a career in psychology. All of that changed June 30th, 2009, when her dream to be on TV became reality. Currently, Melissa is enjoying adjusting to life in Toronto and to her new and exciting job, and is looking forward to all of the adventures and experiences that come along with this opportunity!
