Biography

I have been singing for as long as i can remember and loving it. My father played in bands all his life,lead guitar and vocals.He gave me my voice and love of music.more...

I put my music on hold for last 12 years (marriage,family,business).Last july my father past away from cancer way to young 62 not even retired yet.That darn cancer is becoming way to familiar with too many people.Spent time with my dad in his last days and swore i would pick up music again and really try and make him proud.Started with competing on CMT,s KARAOKE STAR 2008 made top ten in B.C ,@ then flew to Calgary to compete and was blessed to make top ten again.Was voted a s BC wild card and traveled to Toronto to compete in final show! What an amazing experience, first of all meeting the amazing people from CMT WOW just incredible then getting to meet and be judged by some of Canada,s best, Beverly Mahood,Jessie Farrel,Aaron Lines,George Canyon,@ the amazing Mr Aaron Pritchette!
At the end of the Toronto Show Aaron,said to me you cant buy the exposure you have gotten from these shows so get youre music done and out there as soon as you can! So then in a very charmaic way i was fortunate to meet Mr Jeff Bonner(TRACTOR GREASE STUDIO,s) thru some video work he had done for me. Who then introduced me to the very talented J Kleiss(THE DIRT) amazing musician/ sound engineer/amazing person! I sat down with the 2 -J,s with a few songs i had written but had no music for yet, and within one sitting had started the chord structures for the first of three songs.And these once rockers are seeing the country light although a little ReLuCtAnT.(lol) And with many thanks and hats off to Tractor Grease studio,s for bringing in some amazing musicians Scott Smith (Steel/Dobres Guitar from Aaron Pritchettes Band) Adam Dobres (Lead/Steel Guitar Ridley Bents BaNd)
also fiddle Chris Murdy absolutely breathtaking could listen to this man play fiddle forever! The amazing Kristal Barrett along with country,s Greg Storm background vocals,and so many more.And recently performed @ CCMA,S in Vancouver @ the kik-off at the Vancouver Aquarium were i was lucky enough to meet the amazing& talented Rick Tippe. And now have been writing some really amazing songs together wich you will hopefully get to hear sometime soon in 2010. So keep watching country fans much more to come from Todd Richard.

DREAM CHASIN!

WELL FOLKS JUST A QUIK UPDATE , I KNOW ITS BEEN A LITTLE QUITE FOR AWHILE. NO SHOWS OR PERFORMANCES FOR AWHILE. SORRY ABOUT THAT, BUT IM STILL PURSUING THIS AMAZING DREAM WICH I WILL NOT GIVE UP. NEAR THE END OF LAST FALL THE RELUCTANT COWBOYS AND MYSELF HAD WENT ARE SEPERATE WAYS DUE TO DIFFERENCES...
